Questions about online yoga
1. How do I purchase the 7-day pass?
To sign up for a 7-day pass go to the online schedule on our website. On Mondays you will find the '7-day unlimited classes for 2 credits' option - book into this and you'll be on our register for unlimited live classes for the whole week. You won't need to sign up for any sessions individually - just Zoom into the classes of your choice!
2. Can I purchase a 7-day pass mid-week?
As we've had to set up this online system so fast we're having to keep it basic, so the 7 days will always run from Monday through to Sunday.
3. Is it still ok to book into classes as and when?
Yes of course, you can continue to book into sessions as and when you like in the usual way - just book into the class of your choice on the online schedule and use the Zoom code for that session (these can be found in the previous blog post) to join us.
4. Can we practice to music?
Absolutely. We won't be playing any music on our end, but you can play your own background music. Once the session begins all the participants will be 'muted' on Zoom so nobody else will hear.
If you'd like some ideas here are some of our favourites:
For savasana we love 'Devi Prayer' by Craig Pruess and Ananda
You can find some of Tara's favourites on her iTunes playlist labelled 'Flow State Playlist for OceanZen Yoga Classes' by Tara Tate
Some of Natasha's favourites:
Ludovico Einaudi; Dustin O'Hallaran; Geoffrey Oryema; Hans Zimmer (Time, Now We Are Free, Blue Planet II)
Questions about Zoom
5. I can't hear you on Zoom, what do I do?
Once you have joined, if you tap your screen you should find an option that says 'join audio', then click 'call via device audio'. Also check your volume is switched up ;)
6. Can I turn my video off?
Yes, you should have the option to join without your video on. Otherwise, you can also switch it off once you've joined. Tap the screen and you should see the option 'stop video'.
7. The video keeps freezing, what can I do?
If you turn off your own video this tends to sort the problem out. Otherwise, you might find that you have a better streaming experience by signing into your Zoom account before joining the session.
